The visionary game developer, the mind behind the immensely successful franchise Call of Duty, has tragically died in a traffic collision in Los Angeles, California he was 55 years old.
Zampella's death was verified by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, a game studio that he helped create.
The influential video game developer passed away following his automobile collided and was engulfed in flames on a freeway in Los Angeles on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This is a devastating loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's family, his family, and everyone impacted by his work," an official with Electronic Arts stated.
