The tall defender Always dangerous at set pieces, as always, but may be an alternative to his teammate in defense instead of his partner. A careless ball later in the match nearly resulted in an opener for Albania. Six

Nico O’Reilly One more composed showing from the youngster following his first cap against Serbia. Saka failed to make the opportunity from an exquisite flick behind their defense. The left-back spot is firmly his at this stage. 7/10

The star midfielder Functioned in a forward role on the right while also contributed with the hard yards. Displayed flashes of quality but mishit an effort wide. Substituted in the closing stages by a teammate, a fellow player, following a yellow card. Seven

The winger Was presented with the team's best chance in the opening period, his strike well saved by the Albanian keeper. As a teammate holding position, it fell to him to provide width down the right side yet his deliveries from the touchline were inconsistent. Taken off with 15 to go. 6/10

The captain The decisive figure with his two more finishes at international level. The opener a classic poacher’s finish and his next an excellent finish with his head following a clever run from his marker. At 32, he’s only getting better and England are strong contenders in future competitions when he's in the team. 8/10

The attacker Struggled to influence play out wide. Had a decent opportunity when set up by the midfielder but Strakosha denied him. His replacement made much more of effect when substituted. Five
