Citizens have gathered across the country to commemorate 24 months since the Hamas-initiated offensive on October 7th, 2023, as negotiations proceeded in Egypt over a conclusion to the hostilities in Gaza.

The assault resulted in in excess of 1,200 people killed and 251 others captured away to Gaza as prisoners. It was the most deadliest day for the Jewish community since the Second World War.

Israel answered by beginning a armed campaign in Gaza which has claimed more than 67,000 people, as reported by the region's Hamas-controlled health ministry. Its statistics are considered trustworthy by the United Nations and other international bodies.

"The violent enemies have hit us hard, but they have not broken us," Benjamin Netanyahu remarked on Tuesday.

He also pledged to "accomplish all the objectives of the war: the release of all the captured, the removal of the Hamas government and the assurance that Gaza will no longer create a danger to Israel".

Memorial Gatherings Across Israel

The government authorities rescheduled official remembrance events until mid-October - after the completion of the Jewish High Holiday season - but ceremonies still took place across the country on that day.

A remembrance service for the families of Israelis who died in the Hamas incident was organized in Tel Aviv. Arranged by the victims' relatives, it was aired across Israeli television channels.

Hours earlier, a silent tribute was respected around the country.

Negotiation Talks in Egypt

Meanwhile, both sides' negotiating teams met in the North African coastal city of the Egyptian city for a continuing round of indirect talks to review the terms of the agreement.

A senior representative knowledgeable about the negotiations said that an evening round of negotiations commenced at 7 PM local time.

The source stated the earlier meeting finished without tangible results, because of disagreements over the proposed Israeli pullout plans from Gaza and over safeguards Hamas wants to guarantee Israel does not restart combat after the first phase of the arrangement.

He added that the negotiations are "challenging and have still not deliver any significant progress," but pointed out that mediators are working hard to close the gaps between the conflicting groups.

Key Points in Talks

  • An enduring truce
  • The exchange of the captives still kept by Hamas for Palestinian prisoners from Gaza
  • The pullout of military personnel from Gaza
  • Measures for humanitarian aid deliveries
  • Future management of the area

Citizen Feeling

In the city's public square previously, young Hagar - whose sibling survived the attack on the gathering, where 378 people were killed and dozens more were taken hostage by Hamas gunmen - explained: "No location feels like home anymore and until every captive come back no one will feel safe."

"Once we see everybody home again, we can relax again. Then we can commence rebuild," she added.

In front of the prime minister's home in the capital, people congregated to demonstrate their support for the relatives of the captives. Israel states forty-eight stay in confinement in Gaza, twenty of whom are thought to be alive.

Protester one woman remarked: "We need do any agreement needed for the captives to come back home. But we sincerely need promises that we will be protected."

Opinion polls now frequently demonstrate that about seventy percent of Israelis want the war to end in exchange for the freedom of the captives.

Gaza Conditions

At the area of the music event, mourners came together to pay their respects.

From that location, the boom of aerial bombardments and explosions could be noticed just a short distance away in Gaza, where witnesses said the heavy Israeli attacks continued.

In the main city, bombardments were documented in the dawn of that day in the west side neighborhood, area and locality districts and in the eastern district of that sector, as well the settlement to the north-west.

"Once the dusk arrives, the dread appears with it," evacuated Gaza City resident Emaan al-Wahidi, whose teenage son was died by an Israeli bombing earlier, described.

"Me and my three children are afraid of the attacks. Throughout the evening we are lying together, clinging, notably my smallest child who places his head on me all night."

"Every second we monitor the news to see the situation. And I'm afraid that this truce will not be finalized and that the fighting will return to us."

Health Situation

The medical facility in Gaza City said it had accepted the bodies of six people by the midday, including three who lost their lives in an Israeli strike in the southern area.

Another medical facility in the southern city of Khan Younis said two more dead people had been delivered. A person was lost his life by Israeli soldiers while attempting to get help to the south region, medical staff stated.

The region's health ministry said 25 of the {territ
